Homeschool Legalities
Willow Grove Cottage School operates as a homeschool program supported by the structure and rhythm of a traditional schoolhouse. Instruction is led by a licensed Virginia teacher who partners with parents in their homeschooling journey. Because we are not an accredited full-time school, students are legally considered homeschooled, and parents must file a Notice of Intent with their local superintendent by August 15. Families may choose to homeschool under the Certified Tutor provision if they wish. At the end of each school year, Willow Grove provides a Proof of Progress report—including a portfolio and written evaluation—for families to submit to their county by August 1.

Family Handbook
Refer to the handbook for all the details about our program. This handbook spells out our policies, Statement of Faith and tuition/fees. It also provides more details of our philosophy, curriculum and daily life here at Willow Grove.
